Proverbs 21:10-12

¹⁰ The soul of the wicked man is intent on evil;
    his neighbor beholds no pity in his countenance.
¹¹ When the scoffer^[a] is punished, the simple become wiser;
    when the wise man is instructed, he increases in knowledge.
¹² The Righteous One watches the house of the evildoer
    and brings the evildoer to destruction.
